I took home a bottle of the 2001 Vacqueyras from Montirius, after much humming and hawing over whether or not to spend the money in the middle of the week just because of WBW, and my bad faith landed me with a corked bottle. Even though it was corked, there was no mistaking a mighty wine lurking in the shadows.
So I’ll try another bottle tonight with a glad heart and let you know tomorrow.
