We are proud sponsors of the Revolution Cycle team of Fearghal O’Nuallain and Simon Evans. Fearghal has worked in our English Market shop in the recent past, so his face may be familiar to our Cork customers.
The two Irishmen are about to cycle round the world. You can find out all about the expedition at their website, revolutioncycle.ie.
The press and television have been quick to follow the pair’s preparations, and you can keep up with some of this coverage on the Revolution Cycle press page. We’re looking forward to seeing the Bubble Brothers logo against a variety of terrain in the months ahead. You may have the dubious pleasure of seeing us in replica shirts from time to time from now on. Possibly even cycling.
A quick glance at their home page will tell you that you can expect to follow progress using twitter, flickr, vimeo and so on, but there are all sorts of interesting gadgets on the cycling side, too.
If you go along to the Revolution Cycle presentation in the Blackrock Observatory, Cork, tomorrow, Wednesday November 5th at 7pm, you can inspect the machines, find out more about the route and what lies ahead for Fearghal and Simon, and enjoy a glass of wine – all while contributing to Aware and perhaps being persuaded to get pedalling yourself.

Darn, would have liked to go but we’re swing dancing on Wednesdays. Will things have kicked off any earlier than 7 as I’d need to leave at 7.10?
I wouldn’t want to come between anybody and swing – and I’m still snarling I couldn’t get along to any of the sessions over the festival weekend.
But I think the thing to do is maybe send a tweet to @revolutioncycle and see what the latest is. I’d guess 7 means 7 for the full works, but they’ll have to get ready to some degree and I’m sure if you’re interested the guys will do what they can to help.
