BUBBLE BROTHERS – CORK WINE MERCHANTS

Earlier this year we were delighted to announce that we were adding to our list a selection of Californian wines from Cycles Gladiator, which wines you can see here if you’ve a mind to.

Since 2006, 600,000 cases of the Cycles Gladiator wines have been sold around the world.  Last week, however, the Beverage Control Board in the American state of Alabama decided the century-old image used on the wines’ label is in contravention of its laws prohibiting the depiction in such places of “a person posed in an immoral or sensuous manner,” and ordered all bottles to be removed from sale.

Interestingly, according to Lisa de Bruin, who should know, since she works for Hahn Family Wines, owners of the Gladiator range:

In 2006, the Cycles Gladiator wine label went through complete label approval on both the federal and Alabama state level, but only now in 2009 is it being questioned.

Holy Catholic Ireland appears not to mind the wheeling damsel too much, so savour the civil liberty blended into every bottle of our stock; nor, so far as I know, have the bold duo of revolutioncycle.ie run into trouble yet over this video:
