August 21st: Jazz and Wine Soiree at The Idle Hour!

KEEP THE evening of Sunday August 21st free as Bubble Brothers is partnering up once again with The Idle Hour bar in Cork to create a wine and jazz shindig of epic proportions! Between 6pm and 9pm we will be pouring a small selection of our delicious wines for you to sip or gulp as you see fit, all to the funky soundtrack of jazz quintet, Anita Williams and Rouge.

Rouge has been the resident opening act at the Cork Jazz Festival since their formation three years ago and they launched their debut single, ‘Take me to the paradiso’, back in June. Renowned American saxophonist Gary Baus plays with them and will double up as DJ whenever the band is taking a break. We’re still deciding what to pour on the night (perfectionist’s curse!) but there will be three reds and whites, and a sparkling anyway; if you take a particular shine to any of the wines then you can buy a bottle or six to take home with you. We also hope to serve a cerulean cocktail that seems likely to be called ‘Blue Monk' ('Sax on the Beach' is another option), in joint homage to the famous jazz tune and our own company colours. What fun it will all be! There is no cover charge so round up some pals and come along, drink beautiful wines, get your swing on, and have one last blast before summer limps off into the sunset after yet another lamentable performance. For those who haven't been before, The Idle Hour (021-4965704) is on Cork’s Albert Quay, a gentle five-minute riverside stroll from the Clarion Hotel. Call us, Bubble Brothers, on 021-4845-198 (or just ask in the comments section) if you require more details. We look forward to meeting you. Clink!
