John Wilson, Irish Times, April 2012 - ' Picpoul de Pinet will be familiar to any of you who travel to the Languedoc, where it is the perfect partner for all things fishy. It seems to be growing in popularity here too. This fine example has lots of clean, zippy, citrus and green apple fruits with a refreshing minerality. Perfect on its own or with seafood.'

Notes:
- - -
1. PICPOUL BLANC is the grape behind Picpoul de Pinet (above), one of the named 'Crus' of Coteaux du Languedoc in the south of France.
- - -
2. Picpoul means 'LIP STINGER', which refers to the variety's formidable acidity. Instead of 'acidity' or, indeed, stung lips, we in the wine trade prefer to talk about picpoul's 'freshness', 'verve', and 'attractive liveliness'.
We deliver anywhere on the island of Ireland, using Fastway. Your wines should be with you within 2 days of ordering but it can take up to 5 days at peak times (Christmas especially).
There is no delivery charge for our pre-mixed cases whether of six or twelve bottles, or on orders over €120 (after discounts). Orders of less than this value incur a flat charge of €10.
You can collect your order from our Marina Business Park shop (choose 'Pick up - at Marina' on the Checkout page) - allow one working day for us to process your order. We recommend phoning before you make your journey to check that your order is ready, as there may be a slight delay if we need to order it from the bonded warehouse.
If you are not at home to receive your delivery the courier will try to ring you before returning your parcel to the depot; or, provided you have given your express consent to this in advance, may attempt to leave the wine with a neighbour. A signature is required to complete the delivery at all times.
You can cancel an order for up to 7 days after you receive the wine (just call us) but you may be liable for the cost of returning the stock to us, depending on the circumstances.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery. Claims for breakages (etc) will be entertained only if Bubble Brothers is given notification within two days of delivery.
Faulty (i.e. oxidised, 'corked') wines are a fact of life in wine (though the incidence is much reduced, thankfully). If you detect an issue with a wine we've sent you, call us and we will replace the bottle without quibble.
