A perennial favourite with wine lovers everywhere, this delicately flavoured, chalky, French sauvignon is fresh and lively on the palate with intense flavours of grapefruit, herbs and green apple.
Sancerre and goat’s cheese is a match made in heaven, although the wine goes very well too with light-bodied fish like sole, or a simple roast chicken.

Sancerre is the Loire’s most famous appellation, producing distinctively smoky, flinty Sauvignon. In the Eastern Loire, in fact, many people refer to Sauvignon as "blanc fume".
Until phylloxera wiped out most of the vineyards in the mid nineteenth century, Sancerre grew mostly red grapes Gamay and Pinot Noir. But in the aftermath of the louse infestation Sauvignon proved more amenable to grafting than these red varieties, and so it subsequently surged ahead of its two dark-skinned rivals. (The rest is history!)
Limestone and flint are the two most important soil types in Sancerre, both having great heat-retention and light-reflecting properties, which help the grapes to ripen in what is viticulturally a cold region.
One-fifth of Sancerre’s production is red and rosé, of variable quality.
We deliver anywhere on the island of Ireland, using Fastway. Your wines should be with you within 2 days of ordering but it can take up to 5 days at peak times (Christmas especially).
There is no delivery charge for our pre-mixed cases whether of six or twelve bottles, or on orders over €120 (after discounts). Orders of less than this value incur a flat charge of €10.
You can collect your order from our Marina Business Park shop (choose 'Pick up - at Marina' on the Checkout page) - allow one working day for us to process your order. We recommend phoning before you make your journey to check that your order is ready, as there may be a slight delay if we need to order it from the bonded warehouse.
If you are not at home to receive your delivery the courier will try to ring you before returning your parcel to the depot; or, provided you have given your express consent to this in advance, may attempt to leave the wine with a neighbour. A signature is required to complete the delivery at all times.
You can cancel an order for up to 7 days after you receive the wine (just call us) but you may be liable for the cost of returning the stock to us, depending on the circumstances.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery. Claims for breakages (etc) will be entertained only if Bubble Brothers is given notification within two days of delivery.
Faulty (i.e. oxidised, 'corked') wines are a fact of life in wine (though the incidence is much reduced, thankfully). If you detect an issue with a wine we've sent you, call us and we will replace the bottle without quibble.
