The La Puerta Alta wines are produced from hand-picked grapes that are estate grown / bottled in the Famatina Valley, a pristine, 80km long desert gorge in the remote Argentinean province of La Rioja.
Aromas of of red fruits and smoke lead on to a full-bodied, tannic palate with complex berry, cedar, coffee and mineral flavours. Fresh, dry finish.
Repays decanting and drinking with hearty, savoury meals.
30% of the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels
