Ventoux is a an appellation in the southern Rhône where fruity red are made from the usual Rhône varieties: grenache, syrah, mouvedre. LVF is from the Beaucastel stable.
Cabardès is a slightly unusual French appellation where the use of both Rhône and Atlantic varieties is mandatory - in this case, merlot (60%), grenache, and syrah is used.
Picpoul (a grape) gives appealingly fresh, lemony, minerally whites. Expect to see more and more of this fashionable Languedoc white over the coming years.
Torrontés, originally, from Spain's Galicia, is now Argentina's flagship white. Its distinctive wines are super-fruity, with intense notes of fresh grapes, lychees, and grapefruit.
