Wedding Service

We have plenty of experience in helping our customers to choose wedding wine. Whatever your role in the proceedings and whether or not you're a wine drinker, we'll do our best to make things easy for you. Of course, everyone's taste is different, so we encourage you to try a few sample bottles in the weeks before you make your final selection - this is often a good way to end those planning meetings for the family organizers!

How much wine will we need?
We usually recommend that, after securing the best possible deal for corkage - the fee that hotels &c. charge for handling the wine - you allow for two and a half glasses per person dining, and five glasses to the bottle: a bottle for every two people. This is erring on the side of generosity, but means you are unlikely to run out.

Should we buy more white, more red, or half and half?
It's very hard to say exactly. It depends on your guests, the weather(!), the availability of other options such as a bar; and, to a lesser degree, the food you're providing. It's very unusual, though, for the ratio to be wider than 60:40 either way. As you'll see below, our sale or return policy helps to make this less of a problem.

Is there a special deal for weddings?
A discount of ten per cent, (or, if you'd prefer, our standard case offer of a thirteenth bottle free with twelve purchased) applies for all wedding orders collected from our Marina premises. If you'd rather take the equivalent of your discount in, for instance, bottles of champagne - no problem!

Do you offer sale or return?
We will take back full, unopened cases, which gives you the opportunity to buy a little more than you may need with confidence.

Do you deliver?
We can deliver your wine anywhere in Ireland, and make no extra charge for this - though the ten per cent or free thirteenth bottle discounts do not apply to delivered orders.

Do you offer a wedding gift service?
We work with Ireland's largest wedding list service, Wedding Wish List. It's a comprehensive and very efficient way to make choosing and buying the perfect gift as easy as can be.
